Biosketch: Lotte Bjerre Knudsen is Scientific Corporate Vice President in Global Drug Discovery at Novo Nordisk in Denmark. She received a degree in Biotechnology from the Danish Technical University in 1989 and a Master degree in scientific medicine from Copenhagen University in 2014. She has been working at Novo Nordisk since 1989, and has been responsible for several inventions and publications in the GLP-1 area and held various positions at Novo Nordisk both as scientist, department head and Scientific CVP, mostly in molecular pharmacology, in vitro pharmacology and molecular toxicology. She has vast knowledge of the entire drug discovery and development process and published numerous papers especially within the GLP-1 field. She also served as an adjunct professor in translational medicine at Aarhus University from 2015 to 2020. In 2021 she has been working at the Novo Nordisk research site at Oxford University.
